Congratulations! The intelligent processing payload developed by HIT has successfully launched into space for the tenth time

2023/07/03

On March 17, 2023, at 16:33 p.m. local time, China successfully launched the Gaofen-13-02 satellite into orbit using the Long March 3B carrier rocket at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center. The satellite entered its designated orbit smoothly, and the launch mission achieved a complete success.

The satellite is primarily used in various fields, including national land surveys, crop yield estimation, environmental management, weather warning and forecasting, as well as comprehensive disaster prevention and reduction.

The onboard intelligent processing payload, independently developed by the Space Optical Engineering Research Center of Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), is another exploration of space after being launched with the Yaogan-37 satellite on January 13 of this year. It will serve as the core payload to ensure the successful completion of this mission.

The intelligent processing payload will achieve autonomous intelligent extraction of high-value information, such as early warning and comprehensive disaster prevention, under high-resolution observation scenarios in high orbits for the first time. The multidimensional and cross-domain integration of dynamic intelligent task planning, as well as a series of core key technologies, achieved through the innovation and breakthroughs of the Space Information and Intelligence Team of the Space Optical Engineering Research Center, will be validated and applied in orbit.

It is reported that this is the tenth launch of the space intelligent processing payload developed by the team, leading China to continuously make breakthroughs in satellite intelligent information processing technology.
