Vice President ZHEN Liang Meets Australian Ambassador to China Graham Fletcher and the Delegation

Vice President Zhen Liang met with Australian Ambassador to China Graham Fletcher and his delegation at the School of International Studies, and accompanied him to visit the Centre for Australian Studies of HIT.

During the meeting, Zhen Liang presented an overview of HIT and reviewed the history of cooperation with Australian universities and the development of the Centre for Australian Studies of HIT. He expressed that HIT has always been committed to all-round, multi-level and wide-ranging international exchanges and cooperation. He extended hope to enhance exchanges with the Australian Embassy in China and Australian universities and to promote cooperation in student training, teacher and student exchanges, short-term exchange programs and other aspects.

His Excellency Graham Fletcher spoke highly of the historical achievements of HIT. He stated that he would continue to support the development of the Centre for Australian Studies of HIT. He hoped that both sides would further enhance mutual understanding and promote exchanges in education, culture, and other aspects.

Centre for Australian Studies of HIT was officially established on January 6th, 2016 to promote cooperation between HIT and Australian universities in research fields such as education, culture, language, and economy.

The meeting was attended by officials from the International Cooperation Division and the School of International Studies.

The delegation had a visit to HIT Museum before the meeting.
