More About YouTube Shorts
YouTube Shorts was first launched in India on September 14, 2020; then it was passed across the U.S. on March 18, 2021. YouTube finally released the Shorts feature in beta mode to 100 countries around the globe on July 12, 2021. With that came several YouTube Shorts creation tools to ease the creation of short-form videos that were up to 60 seconds long.
Viewers find these short videos on YouTube by tapping ‘Shorts’ at the bottom of the YouTube app. The Shorts player opens up to a never-ending scroll of videos in the Shorts Feed.
Another way to find Shorts is through
- Search results across YouTube
- YouTube homepage
- Featured on creators’ channel homepage
- Subscriptions’ check
- Notifications
Subscribers obtained from watching your Shorts contribute to Creator Awards Programme milestones. YouTube Creator Awards are a means of recognizing creators’ remarkable efforts to expand their channels and build vibrant communities ethically. In order to become eligible for a Creator Award, creators must complete the eligibility criteria and adhere to YouTube’s policies.

- Promote their regular channel
- Showcase less polished video
- Tease their audience for further engagement
- Create engagement on the fly
- Go by trends
- Level up their user-generated content
- Save money with a cost-effective video marketing strategy
